Do you remember the post about my Level 1 students? This time, you will see how my Level 6 students write. These students have been taking English since around two and and a half years ago and most of them want to teach the language in the future. In separate activities, they wrote about a city they now, an imaginary invention and an activity they like. They started by quick writing. Then they revised and edited their paragraphs. These are some paragraphs that resulted from those activities. Is there any idea pointed out by Lisandro that motivated you to visit the second largest city in the Dominican Republic? Did Angelica come up with a totally new invention? Does the last paragraph show that Pablo really likes to shop online? Share your answers with them, please.

Santiago is a beautiful and sophisticated city. It has some nice and expensive restaurants. In Santiago, there are big and luxurious hotels with an excellent service. The people there are so good with the tourists. The transportation system is one of the most efficient in the Dominican Republic. If you are a tourist and you want to cook any kind of food from your country, don't worry about the ingredients. Santiago has great markets where you can buy items from whatever country all over the world. Keep in mind that Santiago has it all.

MAGIC PEN

The Magic pen is a school item that can write for you. It is an electronic pen with a microphone included. You just have to tell the pen what to write and the pen is going to write what you want automatically. It is good when you have to do your homework. For example, when you have to write a summary, you do not have any problem. Just start to speak about your topic and the pen is going to do your job.

Furthermore, some online stores have delivery service. Nowadays, you can buy everything online.

Hello, everyone,

It is great to be in touch again! This time, my level 1 students in the first semester of 2018 wrote about their lives and e-mailed their classmates according to an exercise from the textbook. I include writing since the very beginning in my English classes and have them follow some basic writing criteria such as indenting, punctuating, leaving margins, and so on. See the results and comment on what you think about having students write about their lives and e-mail one another as a writing teaching strategy. Note: This Summer, I am teaching English Composition I. I am planning to publish my students' essays here on eteachandelearn. I hope you drop by and enjoy my students' pieces.
